Bring your AI search data into your own tools
Build on the same data as the app: a REST API with an OpenAPI document and an MCP server for your AI tools, both with scoped keys that expire.
One workspace key, two ways in
- REST API OpenAPI 3
- MCP server Streamable HTTP
- Scoped keys Expire within 365 days
- Rate limits 60 a minute per key
The same data as the app, in your own tools.
Read projects, reports, raw answers and page evidence, manage prompts and run Content Studio, within your plan's limits and the permissions you give each key.
Create keys with only the access they need
The workspace owner creates keys in Settings, picks their permissions and sets them to expire within 365 days. Revoke a key at any time.
Call a documented REST API
Every operation is in the OpenAPI document and the reference, with its inputs, permissions and a cURL example. Each response carries a request ID.
Connect an MCP client
Point an MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP and a custom Authorization header at the Searchly MCP server. It uses the same key as the API.
See which tools change data
Tool names match the API's operations. Your client sees only the tools its key may call, and each one says whether it only reads.
Draft and send content with approval
With read, write, generate and publish permissions, create an article, check it, approve the exact version and send it to Webflow as a draft. Content Studio needs Pro or above.
Retry without duplicates
Writes that take a request ID, such as creating content or adding prompts, can be retried without a second copy. Edits saved against a revision refuse a stale change instead of overwriting newer work.
Start read-only. Give a new key only the read permission. Create a key with write, generate or publish when a workflow needs it. An article is published only after its exact version is approved.
api documentation
Start from a workflow guide in the API documentation
Each guide walks through one job with real requests. The endpoint reference covers every operation, with a cURL example for each.
Quickstart
Create a key, find your project and make your first request.
Projects and tracking
Create projects, choose engines and add prompts and competitors.
Reports and evidence
Read visibility, citations, sentiment and the raw answers behind them.
Content editing and publishing
Draft, revise and approve articles, then send them to Webflow.
Integrations and crawlers
Start Google and Webflow connections, configure them and manage crawler sources.
Errors and rate limits
Error codes, safe retries and the limits each key gets.
