Searchly vs Promptwatch
Searchly's $99 Starter plan includes AI crawler logs, GA4 AI visits with no extra script and AI shopping on ChatGPT. Promptwatch starts crawler logs on Professional ($245) and Shopping Insights on Business ($579).
Our verdict
Our pick: Searchly
Searchly is the better choice for most teams. Searchly Starter ($99 a month) includes AI crawler logs and AI shopping on ChatGPT; Promptwatch starts crawler logs on Professional ($245), and its first plan with both crawler logs and Shopping Insights is Business at $579. Searchly plans count prompts, not responses, so there is no response quota to run out; for 350 prompts, Searchly Business costs $499 a month, less than Promptwatch Business.

pricing
The same workload, priced on both.
One brand, 50 buyer prompts on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity, checked once a day in one country: a common base for AI visibility tracking. Every Searchly plan includes all three engines; where Promptwatch counts or includes engines differently, the note says so.
| Item | ||
|---|---|---|
| Covers the workload | Covers it | Covers it |
| Plan | Starter | Essential |
| Monthly price | $99 | $95 (EUR 85) |
| Billed yearly | $990 a year ($82.50 a month) | $950 a year |
| The three engines | All three included | Included: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity are on every paid plan |
| Extra cost | None | None |
| Free trial | None on Starter; a 14-day trial of Pro ($239 a month after) | 7 days, monthly billing only |
| What the plan counts | 50 prompts on 3 engines once a day: up to 4,500 runs in 30 days, the whole Starter allowance | 50 prompts and 6,000 responses a month; this workload uses about 4,500 (est.). Monitoring stops at 100% of the quota. |
Promptwatch's pricing page says every listed model runs on every paid plan; its page for AI assistants says 4 of your choice. Its published arithmetic (responses = prompts x 120) fits four engines a day.
Prices before tax, in each company's own currency, as published on Oct 21, 2026. est. marks our arithmetic from published units. Units differ: Searchly counts runs, up to 4,500 in 30 days on 50 prompts.

fit
Which one to choose.
Choose Searchly if…
you want the answers and citations behind every number next to AI crawler logs, Google Analytics 4 AI visits and Search Console for the same pages, with AI shopping on ChatGPT, all from the $99 plan.
Promptwatch may suit you if…
publishing articles to WordPress, Webflow or Framer from the same tool matters more to you than AI crawler logs on the entry plan, and you can plan around a monthly response quota.
switching
Moving from Promptwatch, or running both.
- Your prompts.Promptwatch exports responses to Excel or CSV, up to 10,000 rows. Source In Searchly, paste or upload your prompts as CSV. Prompts you add are tracked at once; the ones Searchly suggests wait until you accept them.
- Competitors.Add the competitors you follow in Promptwatch. Searchly benchmarks the ones you choose.
- History.Past results stay in Promptwatch. Scores are not comparable between tools, because engines, collection methods and formulas differ, so compare trends from the same start date.
- Site data.Connect Google Analytics 4 and Search Console read-only, and send AI crawler logs from Cloudflare, Vercel, Netlify, WordPress, Next.js or the HTTP API by following a setup guide. Searchly installs nothing on your site.
- Run both.Track the same prompts in both tools during the 14-day Pro trial before you decide.
evaluation
Put both tools to the test.
Use your own brand, the same buyer prompts and the same dates in both tools. Ask the other vendor these three questions.
- How many engines does your plan run for each prompt each day, and what happens when the monthly quota runs out?
- Which plan includes AI crawler logs, and which reports where my products rank in ChatGPT shopping results?
- Can you read AI referral visits from my own Google Analytics 4 property, or do I have to add your script or tag?

How we compare. We read each company's own pricing page, documentation and changelog, noting the day we checked each one. A capability we could not find is marked Not documented; Not offered means the company's own pages say it is not part of the product. Both columns follow the same rules. We do not compare visibility scores between tools: engines, collection methods and formulas differ.
